A slate of potential Houston Police Department reforms are among Houston City Council Member Letitia Plummer’s proposed revisions to the city’s $5.1 billion fiscal year 2020-21 budget, the first proposals to be made public by a council member.

Here are the roads closed for George Floyd’s burial in Pearland

George Floyd is to be buried June 9 in Houston Memorial Gardens, located off Cullen Parkway in Pearland. The city of Pearland is closing portions of Cullen, McHard Road and Hughes Ranch Road for Floyd’s procession.

First Christian Church plans vigil for George Floyd evening of June 9

As one of several vigils being held in memory of George Floyd across the Houston area in recent days, First Christian Church is offering community members a local opportunity to show support as Floyd is laid to rest this week.

What to know if you plan on going to George Floyd’s public viewing in Houston

The public viewing set for June 8 at The Fountain of Praise church is scheduled from noon to 6 p.m. The church is located at 13950 Hillcroft Ave., Houston.
